Nice post. I read few time ago a novel "The teahouse fire" by Ellis Avery, a very nice and well written novel where the story gravitates around the tea ceremony and everything linked with it. The author travelled in Japan when she was 16 and fell in love with this ceremony; later she attends courses for five years in New York and Kyoto to learn this ancient art.

I just broke my 3rd tea pot in 2 years, and I am heartbroken. I think it takes a Buddhist monk to love something for such a long time without worrying about the day it breaks... What a lovely story.
